Host: Superficial Flesh
Location: The Quixotic World
1116 S. Akard St, Dallas, TX Directions
When: Saturday, October 6, 7:00pm-10pm
Join us for the launch party for our reissue of Superficial Flesh! We'll feature food, music (featuring Sydney Confirm), readings from our contributors (including Susan Rushing Adams, John Waddy Bullion, Lucas Johnson, and Charles Arnett), and perhaps a whole lot more (you know, magic, mayhem, the usual).
We will also have a cash bar so bring your dollars if you plan on imbibing.
Additionally, parking can be found at the Dallas Plaza Hotel (1011 S. Akard St). There's also an ATM in the lobby of the hotel should you need cash for the cash bar.
More information about the venue or directions can be found here: Quixotic World Directions
Print copies of our journal will be available at the party as well--we ask a $10 donation if you'd like one.
Please RSVP to submission[at]superficialflesh.com. We hope to see you there!
Being Gain. We begin again.
5.10.07Welcome to the new rendition of *SUPERficial FLESH. You can find our first, inaugural issue here, but we're in the process of redesign and are seeking submissions for our new web journal to be published in Fall 2007. We welcome all forms of art, be they poetry, fiction, non-fiction, music, film, works of comic genius, photoshop aberrations, painting, drawing, photography, etc. Any translations must include proof of rights granted by the original language publisher or the author if the piece has not been published. We especially like and appreciate works bordering on the absurd and strange, but we are open to all styles of writing and expression.
Submission guidelines:
Please submit your written work in the body of your email to submission[at]superficialflesh.com. If the email body does not preserve spacing, you may submit your work in .rtf format, but please be sure to note this in your email. All submissions must include "Submission" and the author's last name in the subject heading. Please note the type of submission you are including as well (fiction, poetry, etc). All artwork must be sent in .jpg format. We are a very, very small literary outlet so we do not pay, but we appreciate your help in affecting change via the internet.
Looking forward to change.
